The writing conference I love most in the world, where I have met many of my best friends, and have been nurtured as a writer myself... needs help.

This year, the Surrey International Writing Conference is not running for the first time in 33 years, due to an ongoing labour dispute at the Sheraton Guildford Hotel, the long-term venue for the event. Unfortunately, since the conference is planned literally years out, once the strike was announced, there wasn't enough time to find another locale. The cost of this cancellation to the conference has been punitive, and they have established a fund-raiser in hopes that the writing community can rally in support.
