In celebration of #BlackHistoryMonth, I'm featuring a BIPOC writer for every day of February. And as a special treat for subscribers to my newsletter, each week one lucky reader will win a copy of a book from all seven featured writers. Not a subscriber yet? Scroll to the bottom of this page, and sign up!
It feels like I have followed the work of Jen Sookfong Lee for decades, but since her first book came out in 2007, I put it down to her exceptional writing in a wide range of formats and venues. She is amazing! Jen is a widely-nominated writer, poet, editor, teacher and broadcaster who has written fiction, non-fiction and poetry for adults and children.
She has not one but TWO books coming out this spring: a non-fiction title for children from Orca books called FINDING HOME: The Journey of Immigrants and Refugees; and THE SHADOW LIST, her first poetry collection.
And as we begin the final week of this #BIPOC celebration, newsletter subscribers can win a copy of one of Jen Sookfong Lee's books, along with the books of every other featured writer this week, by signing up at kcdyer.com for your chance to win!
