Featured writer: Mahtab Narsimhan

In celebration of #BlackHistoryMonth, I'm featuring a BIPOC writer for every day of February. And as a special treat for subscribers to my newsletter, every week one lucky reader will win a copy of a book from each of that week's seven featured writers. This week's draw will be announced Sunday. Not a subscriber yet? Scroll to the bottom of this page, and sign up!

Regular readers of this blog know that not only am I a huge fan of Mahtab Narsimhan's work, but that she is a dear friend. And this month, she is celebrating the release of the audio version of her book THE TIFFIN. This is one of my favourites of Mahtab's middle grade stories, as it is set in Mumbai, and is a story that mixes the deep traditions of that incredible city with the contemporary complexities of family.

You can read more about Mahtab's books here. And trust me -- you'll want to subscribe to her newsletter, as, along with book news, it is filled with recipes and Mahtab is one of the best cooks I know!

For now, you can win a copy of Mahtab's new audio book by subscribing to my newsletter. The draw for the winner -- the third of this month -- takes place next weekend, and will include stories from every writer featured here on the blog this week. Make sure you're signed up at kcdyer.com and watch this space to see who will feature tomorrow, on #IReadCanadianDay!

More soon...
