In celebration of #BlackHistoryMonth, I'm featuring a BIPOC writer for every day of February. And as a special treat for subscribers to my newsletter, each week one lucky reader will win a copy of a book from all seven featured writers. Not a subscriber yet? Scroll to the bottom of this page, and sign up!

I first read award-winning Cherie Dimaline's work way back in 2017 when THE MARROW THIEVES came out. It is a stunning story [sweeping the Kirkus and Govorner General's awards, and nominated for many others], a massive bestseller, and, of course, a cracking good read.
The author of five books, Cherie is a member of the Georgian Bay Metis Community, where she lives and works on the tradtional territories. Her latest novel is EMPIRE OF THE WILD, and I can't wait to read it!
My newsletter readers will have a chance to win Cherie's book, along with books by Desmond Cole, Dionne Brand, Jen Sookfong Lee, and the final three other featured writers this week. If you haven't yet subscribed, sign up at kcdyer.com for your chance to win!
